Today I added upwardly all my /played today across all my xix characters. I plant a nifty online tool to do this:

My total /played came out 406 days, 21 hours, 35 minutes, 28 seconds. That doesn't include fourth dimension I spent on toons I deleted over the years.

I'g the get-go to admit I'k fond to WOW. I typically play 4-12 hours a mean solar day. I know this is unhealthy, but it's a fell cycle. I have four 90s, all with a 490+ ilvl. I beloved making them stronger and finding rare items.

But I really feel like a pathetic loser right now. I know I demand to put downwardly the computer and reflect on my accomplishments. I have accomplished so much in WOW, just so little in life.

I guess I simply wanted to come across if anyone else feels as I practice. Have yous ever looked at your /played fourth dimension this way and thought about all the things you might have achieved if yous had spent this time in the real world? Am I being too difficult on myself? I do work full time, married, no kids. I do all right, I estimate, though I practise need to lose some weight and go out more. I think I am going to really try taking a stride back from WOW. I used to really love console RPGs. At present I barely play them anymore because I take spent so much fourth dimension on WOW. I did accept fun during almost of those hours spent playing WOW, just looking at my /played now I just feel depressed.

Thanks for reading. I hope some of you volition also share your stories about your /played time. Did it make you reflect on your ain life in this way? Have y'all ever questioned the time you spend on certain hobbies and whether it's "worth it?"

About 250 days. And half of that is wasted by "casual (read: bad)" players ruining my life in heroic five man instances who can't figure out that ret paladin isn't a viable tanking spec.

110 days on paldin 68 on DK and im sure lots added upward on the diverse alts i have only those two accept been mains. (I started for existent in wrath)

If I count my original account and my current business relationship, it'd be upwards of 550-600 days. Granted that'southward over viii years, and the fact that I used to play viii+ hours a night back in original WoW and TBC.

MIne's in the loftier 400's likewise combined (I forget what the exact number was) and I've been playing since November 2005. For all the years I've been playing, I don't call back information technology's as well bad. I mean, what else would I exist doing? Spending coin I didn't have? Going to bars I don't want to get to? Non everyone is bachelor every dark and 24-hour interval. I don't savour watching tv particularly at nights. I made real life friends that I visited. I've been to wow friends weddings, I've had wow friends come to my wedding. I accept friends I met in wow that I wouldn't have met whatsoever other way and some I talk to every week. We're moving presently and some of my wow friends that I met in wow program on coming for a long weekend to help paint, have dinner and play more wow together lol. And so no, I don't feel similar it was a waste matter. IN fact, for every bit much every bit it seems like a colossal waste, I've enjoyed it... fourth dimension spent enjoying myself making new friends means more to me than blowing money doing things I don't actually want to do.

I used to feel like this back when I was playing all day everyday. I'd wake up and log on so log out and head to bed. Information technology felt very much like a vicious cycle. What helped me was I took a month break, or maybe information technology was 2. It was enough time for me to have a TON of catching up to practise on all my maxed leveled toons. I don't play About as much anymore and I feel a ton ameliorate.

I'd recommend setting a goal everyday to get something accomplished in real life and do it. Be it a hobby like an instrument or reading or going for a walk, maybe even some house work. Spend an hour or two a day with your wife, heck endeavour and get her to play. Believe me that will get in on how yous feel near yourself and how much y'all time you play.

Really take this to heart and try to exercise it. It'due south easy to have a moment of clarity and meet how negatively the game is affecting your life just to shove information technology downward and keep on playing as you were. Be proactive and do it!

Excluding multiple 80+ deleted characters I take 360days /played, but that's not counting the account I had during Vanilla and BC. And so probably 450+.
